Find lost or misplaced keys, TV remote, wallet, your purse, or even your car somewhere in a parking lot with the touch of a button. The Lost Items Finder leads you right to the electronic tag attached to the missing item. The beeping tone gets progressively louder as you point to and get nearer to the missing object and colored lights change from red to yellow to green. It can be programmed to find up to four items, just press the corresponding button (1, 2, 3 or 4). To find your missing item, rotate the receiver in a full circle and follow the strongest signal. As you get "warmer" the beeping and flashing lights become more intense. It doesn’t matter if the target is stuffed between the cushions of the couch or left outside on the table. Range: Indoors – 100 feet, Outside – up to 400 feet with a clear line of sight. Comes with two small electronic tags, batteries included.

What we like best about this item:

We’ve found and tested a number of "lost items finders" , only to be disappointed after the batteries ran out in a few days or the lost items finder failed to detect a signal. This one works. It can detect a signal up to 400 feet away and guides you to within inches of the missing object. We found it a little difficult to distinguish when the item was on a floor above or below us, but after working with it a little while figured out the nuances. Finally, just following the signal as it grew louder and the lights changed from red to yellow to green, we were able to find whatever we were looking for every time.
