Alzheimer’s disease scares us to death. The term alone spawns images of a "living death," "The Long Good-Bye," and the slow loss of one’s own identity. This couldn’t be farther from the truth. There is a lot to be learned about this disease. There is a Bridge is a rich source of of hope and information, revealing, among other things, the largely unrecognized capacity of people with Alzheimer’s and related dementias to maintain emotionally meaningful relationships.
