When I recently realized my mother ripped up her special hymn songbook, it broke my heart. She would sit for a couple of hours and go through every page, singing every jingle! I caught that her eyesight had suddenly declined and made her a doctor appointment. That was the reason she'd done that--she could no longer read the black print even though it was a decent font size! Without much to do at a nursing home, I went online to find a replacement. This book will be perfect! There are not many large, nice thick black print books out there for our elderly! This book will do well.
Thoughtful Gift for One Who Enjoys Hymns

The book of favorite hymns was a gift for my mother who has Alzheimer's and is in a nursing home. It is hard-backed and contains photographs of churches, worship services, and other religious-associated scenes. The text is printed in very large print, so it is easy to read. I did not recognize every hymn that was included, and, because of space limitations, not all words to a hymn are included, but there is enough for the recipient to follow along if they hymn is being player or sung by others.
A wonderful book!

Now my father-in-law can hear others read or sing some of his favorite hymns. The hymns arec nicely illistrated with great, pictures . He definitely misses attending church.
