Each year CGM, as the SVA Service Extension Unit in our county provides quality of life gifts to our local skilled nursing facilities. This year the project was in collaboration with the memory care unit. As we approached this kitty's new owner, she was in a chair in the common room and she wasn't having a very good day. When we placed the cat in front of her, she wasn't interested in brushing or petting it, but she was mesmerized watching it "breathe." She talked with us a little bit as she calmed.
