Works too well |

I bought the motion alarm. It works well. A little too well for us. It has a twenty foot sweep which means if we put it in the doorway it covers all of both rooms and alarms at the slightest movement. I had to construct a small box to put it in to restrict the range. The part I carry with me works all over our home and into the yard. Downside is that the alarm is very very loud. It sounds like a police siren. It's louder than my fire alarm. The system has no way to turn the alarm down or switch to vibrate or anything. We chose this version so Pops wouldn't be disturbed by the alarm, but it's so loud that he hears and is disturbed by it even when I'm three rooms away. With no way to control the volume, this system isn't going to work for us. However it does function well. We've had it for over a week and only use it for times that I'm working in the yard.

Tina, We are happy to hear that the alarm is working for you. Please note, the sensitivity of the motion detector is best adjusted by swiveling it within its casing. If half of the sensor is exposed, it will have less of a range. Good news- the alarm sounds can be changed, volume turned up and down, or set to vibrate. The belt clips slides off and the buttons for setting these features are all there. Hope this helps! - The Alzheimer's Store
