10 locking doors that all open to compartments.   Each door has a different type latch.  The carrying handle is very sturdy and does not lay over but rather is fixed in position.  The box is a very heavy duty hardwood and will hold up to much hard play/use.  The box resembles a tool box and works well to keep my brother very busy.  As an adult with traumatic brain injury dementia he finds going through all the different locks a challenge and fun.  He only has use of his left hand and the box is heavy enough and the locks big enough that it will sit without movement, it doesn't require a second hand to steady the box.   This is an excellent product.   And the customer service is outstanding.

I bought this for my father who likes locks and fidgety items. I wrote little messages in each door and left chocolates and photos inside for him to find. Great for men!

A tremendous challenge for activities personnel is finding an activity to engage the "Mr Fixit" fellows.  Bingo and arts/crafts aren't going to do it for them.  I was looking at various "busy boards" but I could see that they weren't going to really engage my resident.  Then I came across this "Lock Box".  I purchased the larger one and am so pleased with it.  It has a solid feel and heft to it so my resident can't readily dismiss it as a toy as he did the blocks and the kiddie toolbox we offered.  The real brass locks and latches captured his interest and I watched him pick it up and carry it away with him as if it were an honest-to-goodness toolbox.  It is well made and I expect it will hold up to much use.  Thank you for giving me another means of meeting my resident "where he is."
