Automatic Faucet Control w/ Instant-Off

For those who have trouble adjusting the water temperature, turning the handles, or who may forget and leave the water running the Automatic Faucet Control is just what the doctor ordered.

This clever and inexpensive device screws right onto the end of your faucet (replacing the existing aerator). A small wand then projects down and any contact with that wand will turn the water on. Just moving your hand away, releases the pressure from the wand and, like magic, shuts off the water. What could be easier?

Fitting Guide

Anti-Scald Fitting

The most basic thing you need to know about your faucet in order to add an Anti-Scalding device is the threading - either male or female. If your faucet has threads on the outside, it is male threaded - which means you need to use just the FEMALE threaded component. Conversely, if your faucet has threads on the inside, it is female threaded and you'll need to use the included MALE threaded adapter. Our anti-scald devices work on both MALE and FEMALE faucets and pipes!

Our Anti-Scald devices work on "REGULAR" size plumbing. Typical "REGULAR" size for a faucet aerator is 15/16" male threaded or 55/64" female threaded, while "Junior" size is 13/16" male threaded or 3/4" female threaded. Some faucets use a smaller "Tom Thumb" metric-size aerator, which is M18x1 male threaded or M16x1 female threaded. If your faucet or pipe is not "REGULAR" you will need an additional adapter. But wait! Before you get out your tape measure, there's a very easy way to tell what size your plumbing is.

Example of faucet sizes

First, take the existing aerator off your faucet - usually these just unscrew, although you may need a wrench if it's on tight. Then grab some spare change from the couch or your rainy day jar, specifically a quarter, a nickel, and a dime. Place the coins over the aerator. If your current aerator is about the size of a quarter, you have a "REGULAR" sized fixture!

If it's about the size of a nickel, you have a "Junior" size aerator. If your aerator is approximately the size of a dime, you have a "Tom Thumb" size aerator. Both "Junior" and Tom Thumb" sizes will need an adapter that you can purchase from the hardware store.

4 of 5 Happy Ending September 11, 2020
Reviewer: Lynn from Brunswick, ME United States
When I received my automatic faucet and put it on according to directions I go a slow, but continuous drip. I tried to contact customer service and I all I got was a machine trying to sell me a medic alert. I contacted instant off and they did not respond to my email. After several more tries I finally got a very courteous response from customer service. I was able to fix the faucet and all ends happily.

The instructions provided with the faucet control are comprehensive and very helpful.
The apparatus is working well. I am hopeful that with continued use, the rod will hold up as it is plastic. From the brochure on the product I had expected a silver rod.

Work//s pretty good except for one time I had both faucets turned off and when I turned the cold on the water came on and I had to fiddle with the trigger mechanism to get it to stop. Aereator function could be improve...splatters water around. Everything considered, I like it. Gets the job done, no wasted water since it was installed.
