Alzheimer’s Door -or- Motion Detection Alarm w/ Portable Alert Monitor

Wander Alert Alarm Kits by SMPL gives you peace of mind while keeping your loved-one safe!

Wandering seniors who have Alzheimer's, Dementia or other forms of memory loss is the primary fear for any caregiver or family member. The best way to prevent wandering is to be alerted of a door being opened or by motion sensors being triggered that alert the caregiver.

Caregivers receive an audible, visual and vibrating alert when a door opens or motion is detected in a hallway or room.

Wireless monitor alarms are a preferred solution for elderly care since the portable alarm alerts the caregiver wherever they are in and around the home and does not startle the care recipient. Our portable alarm monitor can be clipped on caregiver’s clothing, put in a pocket or sit near your side on a table or nightstand. Set to ring/buzz/chime, flash and vibrate upon a breach of the monitored doors or areas. The alarm monitor is battery operated and effective within 100-250 feet of the sensors (transmitter) installed on a door, window, cabinet or room/hallway.

Our kits are easy to install, do not require internet, Bluetooth, wiring or a HUB (like Alexa), plus NO monitoring fees are required.

Additional SMPL Door Sensors, Motion Detectors and even HELP | SOS Button Pendants (up to 20 sensors) can connect with each alarm monitor to expand coverage for increased safety. Additional alarm monitors and kits can be paired for multiple caregivers.

Wander Alert kits are easily set-up and installed using the provided double-sided tape, making the system fully portable if you need to change the installation location. The device kits ship paired/connected right out of the box for simple and quick installation.

Caregiver and user feedback tell us that they also use the kits to monitor the kitchen and bathroom cabinet doors. If a loved one goes into a cabinet (perhaps at night when the caregiver is asleep) the alarm instantly and unmistakably alerts the caregiver.

  • Select a kit to monitor a door -or- a kit to monitor motion -or- a full safety alert set
  • Portable and vibrating alarm alerts caregiver wherever they are situated in and around the home within 250 ft. of sensors
  • WiFi is not required
  • Low cost solution & no monthly fees – utilizing low power consumption Radio Frequency technology
  • Wireless – designed for easy set-up in minutes
  • Additional SMPL Door Sensors, Motion Detectors and Call Button Pendants (up to 20 sensors) can connect with each (or additional) Alarms to expand coverage for increased safety HERE

Caregiver Tip: Use on kitchen and bathroom doors to monitor food and medicine that can be abused. On an exit door, use the door alarm in conjunction with a chain lock (purchased at your hardware store or local home improvement center). This type of lock allows the door to open just far enough to set off the alarm, but not enough to let the person exit.

IMPORTANT ORDERING NOTE: Only order the "Additional Door Sensors", "Additional Motion Detectors", "Additional Help | SOS Call Button Pendants" or "Additional Alarm Monitor" if you already have one of these kits or set. You can find options to expand your kit under item #0071.

5 of 5 Wonderful To Purchase From November 14, 2023
Reviewer: Brian Ricard from Richmond Hill, ON Canada
I ordered the door alert pager type system for my Dad, who is dealing with my Mom's dementia every afternoon. This system allows him to relax a bit, since he will know immediately if she is opens the door. Unfortunately, the $40 dollar purchase turned into $100 after US/Canadian exchange rate and shipping. But it is working, and doing a great job. Thank you.

4 of 5 Very easy to set up and use. October 17, 2023
Reviewer: Anonymous Person
Very easy to set up and use.  Pager/receiver only has one tone and volume (kind of loud).  The motion detector does not have quite 20 ft of range.  Helpful for sure though!

"Hello. We are happy to hear that the motion sensor and pager alarm are helpful. The ring tone and volume can be set by sliding the clip on the back of the pager off. This will expose the buttons to set those alarms. To obtain the maximum distance on the motion detector, mounting it low, in the path of travel, will help extend the range. Hope this helps!" - The Alzheimer's Store
