Memory Picture Cell Phone for Seniors

Designed for ease-of-use and set-up in minutes.

The one-touch dial picture phone is relentless in its focus on simplicity. It consists of one primary screen, and one screen only. The screen includes 3 elements: Pictures and names of up to 24 contacts; A button to call 911; Time and battery power. There are no applications or settings to cause confusion. No notifications or operating system updates. No voicemail. No distractions. Simply tap the picture of the person you wish to call. That’s it.

Memory Picture Cell Phone for Seniors

Caregivers can manage the RAZ Memory Cell Phone through a simple online portal. The portal is used to create and edit contacts, check signal and battery strength, add an incoming call whitelist, track the location of the phone/user using GPS maps and select certain options, such as the option to restrict incoming calls to contacts - preventing unwanted predatory robocalls and enabling the speakerphone option.

Memory Picture Cell Phone for Seniors Protective Case

Your RAZ Memory Cell Phone comes with a custom-built protective case. Soft inner TPU and exterior polycarbonate shock proof bumper protects the phone from drops and scratches. Snap on design allows for easy installation while raised edge protects screen from scratches and is compatible with most screen protectors. Precise cutouts allow caregiver easy access to all buttons, controls, and ports without having to remove the case.

Memory Picture Cell Phone for Seniors with Emergency Services

Imagined or false emergencies and repetitive 911 calling is all too common for people with Alzheimer’s or Dementia. RAZ now offers an Emergency Service which directs emergency calls to an emergency dispatch agent rather than 911. The service agent will know that the caller has memory loss and will determine whether to contact 911 guided by this knowledge. Also, text messages will be sent to designated caregivers (up to 3), providing caregivers the opportunity to cancel the emergency call so that 911 is not contacted. This service is optional and can be added once you receive and set up your phone for less than $8/month.

Memory Picture Cell Phone for Seniors Extra Long Cord

Add an extra long 6 foot coil cord to your RAZ Memory Cell Phone order to ensure your phone always has power. The coil cord can also make the phone more recognizable to those with dementia as it is reminiscent of corded phones from the past. A must-have accessory to extend the reach while keeping the device connected!

Can I activate this phone on Verizon or AT&T?

Yes. This option works with your current or new Verizon Wireless or AT&T Wireless account. At this time the RAZ phone cannot be activated on Sprint. If you prefer an unlocked device that only works on other GSM Networks such as T-Mobile, Cricket Wireless, Red Pocket Mobile, Consumer Cellular, Mint Mobile, please click HERE

Can I restrict incoming calls?

Yes. The portal app for the phone includes a setting allowing you to limit incoming calls to only the contacts and/or a whitelist entered into the phone.

Can I add more than six contacts?

Yes! The RAZ Phone now allows up to 24 contacts, but the default is 6. Having 6 contacts or less will ensure there is only a single screen on the phone so the end user does not have to scroll through multiple screens.

Can the 911 button be disabled?

No. By law in the US 911 service cannot be disabled or blocked on cell phones. The 911 button does require a long-press to use, so most people with dementia or similar conditions will be less likely to accidentally call emergency services. If your loved-one repetitively calls 911 for false or imagined emergencies, an optional Emergency Call Service is available to help screen 911 calls once the phone is activated and set up. This service has multiple plans all under $8/mo.

Can I track the RAZ Phone remotely?

Yes. By going to the “GPS Location” button on the portal app, you can track the location of the phone.

Can the RAZ Phone send text messages? Is there voicemail?

No. The phone is designed to be as simple-to-use as possible, and not including these features is a part of that design philosophy.

Is there a speakerphone option?

Yes. This new feature is controlled from the caregiver portal so that there are no mistakes. The speakerphone option can be set to either on or off - when it's on, the volume is set to the maximum so it's perfect for those with hearing loss or for those who cannot easily lift the phone to their ear.

This has been a great phone for my 97-year-old mother with mild dementia. I should've gotten her this phone years ago. So easy to use. The support department has been awesome to help in getting the phone the rest of the way set up for her needs.

5 of 5 Ideal phone June 17, 2021

I checked out this phone online and decided it was ideal for my 90 year old husband. His dementia isn't so bad, but he can have a normal conversation. I thought he'd enjoy calling his famly. However, he absolutely refused to even look at it. Said he knew how to use his old flip-top as a phone only. He doesn't mess with any other features. He can't remember how they work. He'll soon forget how to even call on it, so a new Alz phone would be ideal. However, dementia affects clear thinking, and I couldn't get him to try the new one.  I did want to give a good rating for what it promises for those with dementia anyway. Sadly, I'm returning it unopened. The location service was what I wanted most from it since he gets lost easily.  Maybe someday I can order it again when he is more receptive.

This is my 2nd note, but I wanted to also suggest a change to your on-line advertisement:
I have searched for some time for a simple and easy phone to use, etc. - - with no luck.
I stumbled on the RAZ phone by accident.
Showing and talking to people in the business of memory care, no one has heard about it.
I suggest adding to your key search words to make this one show.
Thank you for letting us know! We do market and advertise the RAZ phone as we know it is a wonderful product to help those in need. Please share via word-of-mouth as many of the caregivers who need this phone do not browse the internet. Thank you! - The Alzheimer's Store

4 of 5 RAZ memory phone June 11, 2021
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Newburg , OR United States
I just bought this for my mom who has mild dementia.  I purchased an ATT compatible phone, however it arrived with only a SIM card for the cell service they are trying to get you to switch to.  So we took it to the ATT store for new SIM card.  ATT had not seen this phone before so they didn't know how to set it up.  The phone did not show the contact information that I set up on the RAZ portal.   I finally got thru to customer support and found that it is necessary to either buy a 2 gig data plan for the phone, or have RAZ connect it to a WiFi system, in order for the portal information to upload in the phone.  None of this is explained anywhere, either on the website nor in the paperwork that comes with the phone.  This information would have saved several people hours of frustration.   My mom has only had the phone working a couple days.  So far so good.  She likes it.
Hello - we are thrilled to hear your mom likes the phone! We apologize for any confusion about setting it up. The phones come with a promotional MINT service. This service does not need to be used - and you can bring your own plan, add the phone as a new line, or choose from a carrier of your choice that works best in your area. Most phone company employees do not understand that the RAZ Memory Phone is just like any other phone and it just needs a plan on a compatible SIM card. Hope this helps! - The Alzheimer's Store
